Byong Ki Chung is a partner at Lee & Ko. His main areas of practice include antitrust and competition law, general corporate transactions, and mergers & acquisitions, and litigation. With his expertise in both transaction & litigation, Mr. Chung provides legal service and tactical advice during entire antitrust case procedure (KFTC's investigation, administrative litigation, civil litigation and criminal defense).
Especially, Mr. Chung is reputed as one of the leading experts in in antitrust damages litigations with extensive experience. During his career at Lee & Ko, Mr. Chung has been involved in most major antitrust damages cases in Korea. After discussing various economic analyses including regression analyses with economists, Mr. Chung provided the best solutions for his clients, successfully explained economic analysis results into proper legal term.
Antitrust damages litigations had been under-developed and were filed recently with few precedents in Korea, but is expected to change revolutionarily due to adoption of the punitive damages system and class-action system. Based on his experience and expertise, he is expected to lead the practice in Korea.
