Prior to joining Lee & Ko, Sungkyun Kim was with Financial Supervisory Service for over 20 years. During his years of service at FSS, he has accumulated practical experience and expertise in various financial regulatory matters relating to banking, securities, insurance, and consumer protection.
He provides legal analysis and solutions to clients on investigation, inspection and sanction of financial regulatory matters relating to banking activities, issuance of securities and corporate disclosures, and examination of banks and financial holding companies. While at FSS, Sungkyun Kim also participated in the enactment of laws and regulations relating the protection of financial consumers. Based on that experience, he provides consulting advice on business conduct compliance matters to financial companies, mediation of disputes in the capital market between financial companies and financial consumers and general financial dispute matters.
